My apologies...That will teach me to look up an out-of-date timetable, even though the number that was on the service was the 39B rather than the 39..

This extract from the rules is quite clear, in response to your query. My mistake was made inadvertently from using an OLD timetable.

I am sure that it did not seem that far when we used the X2 to return back to our hotel in Porthcawl when we were on holiday last year, but we must have been enjoying ourself too much to notice the distance

Yeah it's a lot further than at first glance, especially as you have to walk past the castle, across Canton Bridge and down Lower Cathedral Road. Quite a walk if I say so myself.

Are you sure this is the X2? The X2 goes from Bristol to Portishead via Pill. West Wick is technically Worle, which is near Weston-super-Mare?
