Desiring to use rail travel as time draws on, we next board the 1943 Brighton and Hove Bus and Coach service 7 to Brighton railway station that arrives there at 2001 on Friday evening

A point to note when the larger railway stations are involved is that some have much longer connection times than the usual 5 minutes.

With the case of Brighton, it is 10 minutes except in the specific example of leaving one Southern service to join another Southern service when the connection time is 4 minutes.

So leaving a bus outside Brighton railway station at 2001, then the ten minute connectional period would rule out the use of the 2007 FCC service to Gatwick Airport

Sorry, I did actually search for this, but was unable to find the connection times, and so took a punt on it.
I therefore replace that move with the 2034 FCC service to Gatwick which will arrive at 2101, so still in time for the move that followed it.

Just to let you know that minor changes have been made to the rules in the first post.

The "You may not walk between stations of the same transport mode" rule has been permanently removed, as discussed before. The other rules have had their wording slightly revised, so that their language better reflects the more relaxed atmosphere the game now has.

None of the actual content of the rules has changed.

As the time is now late and it's a Sunday, we are ever so slightly restricted, from what I can see, for any further onward connections, so we call it a night and the following morning we board 1U52, the 0532 First TransPennine Express service to Preston, arriving there at 0642 on Monday morning.

They are obscure if you are not over familiar with the area and reliant on the not particularly user friendly local web sites - once you have worked out where you are, which one to use, and where you can get to those more expert (or maybe with better IT and/or local knowledge ) are several moves down the road.
