I had a bit of anxiety then as that was the last bus to serve the designer outlet and I thought we'd be stranded, but we can instead take the four minute walk to the bus stop on the corner of Berristow Lane and Carter Lane East and board the 2331 Trent Barton The Nines service 9.1 to Mansfield (Bus Station), arriving there at 2353 on Saturday evening.

We then wait overnight, and being a Sunday morning things start a little later, so we take the 4 minute 0.2 mile walk to the railway station to take the 0844 East Midlands Railway service to the next station along, Mansfield Woodhouse, arriving there at 0851 on Sunday morning.

There doesn't seem to be any buses in the vicinity, so we return on the 0856 East Midlands Railway service 2D01 to Bulwell, arriving there at 0928 on Sunday morning.

Not masses of choice here so we will go onwards on the 1107 Trent Barton rainbow 1 to Kimberley, Library arriving at 1125 on Sunday.

It so appears that the aforementioned trentbarton rainbow 1 is the only bus route in Kimberley on a Sunday, so we take the 1212 journey towards Alfreton, alighting at Jacksdale Monument at 1236 on Sunday.
Half-expecting this to be an impressive monument in the countryside, we are underwhelmed by it being a village war memorial, a worthy cause nevertheless.

Whilst I'm desperately trying to get out of the Trent Barton regional area, I'm struggling to do so, so we board the 1312 Trent Barton Rainbow One service to Nottingham (Victoria Bus Station), arriving there at 1410 on Sunday afternoon.

The 46/47 remain our only option on a Sunday, and they will only take us back towards N*tt*ngh*m, so we take the 1601 N*ttingh*m City Transport skyblue 47, and alight at N*tt*ngh*m (NTU City Campus, stop G3) at 1625 on Sunday.
If only the railway station and coach stops were anywhere near the bus termini...

There doesn't appear to be anything else running from here on a Sunday evening, so this may end up being worse than staying in Nottingham! The railway station is too far to walk to, so I will tentatively suggest we have to wait overnight until the following morning unless anyone else can find a suitable move.

If not, then we will return for the 0615 Stagecoach East Midlands Sherwood Arrow service to Tuxford, Sun Inn arriving there at 0645 on Monday morning.

Amusingly this is another sparse area, and the later journeys are "set down only", so, by my reckoning we are stuck in this remote place until the morning.
In which case we will return for the 0654 Gem Mini Travel service 190 to Retford, Claters Close arriving there at 0712 on Tuesday morning.

Could we have used the demand responsive P190, or is that not within the rules??

I did wonder about that as I saw it on one of the bus stops on the map, but wasn't sure. Might be wise to miss that but perhaps get a quizmaster to advise for future reference ... @transportphoto ?
I don’t think we’ve come across this before. As long as we find a sensible way of using demand responsive services and are realistic about it, why not? Its a public transport game, we’ve got to move with the times! Any issues that arise (and don’t self resolve) please flag in the usual manner.

Thanks for the swift response @transportphoto :) We will bear that in mind for the future then!

Services here are only two-hourly, so we next board the 1144 East Midlands Railway service 1K63 to Kidsgrove, arriving there at 1347 on Tuesday afternoon.

I am so glad to be out of the East Midlands!!
