I believe that was the last service of the day, and destinations are somewhat restricted to and from Clifford Chambers, so I don't think we have any other choice than to call it a night and board the 0722 Johnson's Excelbus service 25 back to Stratford-upon-Avon (McDonald's), arriving there at 0730 on Tuesday morning.

Still to take a short onward omnibus journey, this time by a different operator and we next board the 1915 Stagecoach in Gloucester service 64 to Bussage (Bluebell Rise) that arrives there at 1924 on Tuesday evening.

That was again the last bus of the day from Bussage (seriously - why do many of Oxfordshire and Gloucestershire's towns/villages have no public transport after 7pm?!), so we have no choice but to call it a night, before waking up fresh and returning to the bus stop to board the 0629 Stagecoach in Gloucester service 64 to Stroud (Merrywalks), arriving there at 0700 on Wednesday morning.

Time to visit a settlement that once had a ferry service until a rail tunnel was completed, so we next board the 1437 Newport Bus service 74 to Portskewett (Post office on Main Street) that arrives there at 1509 on Wednesday afternoon.

In a possibly vain attempt to avoid being sucked into the South Wales conurbation we return to Chepstow Bus Station on the next 74 at 1543, arriving at 1556 Wednesday afternoon

Unfortunately, the South Wales conurbation and the Bristol area share a common factor of journeying in ever-decreasing circles.....

It's all good. Chepstow railway station is 0.4 miles away, so we can head there and board 1M73, the 1618 CrossCountry service to Beeston, arriving there at 1856 on Wednesday evening.
