That service leaves the Wheatsheaf at 2052, which would fall foul of the 5 minute connection time (having arrived at 2048).

There isn't another bus until 23:24 and that only takes us round the town, so I hope it will be OK to call a halt for the night and wait for the 06:07 Northern service to Northallerton where we arrive at 06:49 on Thursday morning.

The 23:00 to 05:00 "time out" rule needs a bit of clarification. Is it mandatory to catch any available train or bus after 23:00 if you arrive just before that time? It seems that it is.
We wait for the 09:50 East Midlands service to Norwich where we arrive at 15:11 on Thursday afternoon.
