Again, it being Sunday, we have no choice other than to board the 15:11 ScotRail service 2H62, taking it to Alness, arriving at 15:29 Sunday afternoon.

We then board the 17:54 ScotRail service 2H65 (formed of same train I think so ok) to Wick, arriving at 22:07 Sunday evening.

It's not the same train, and minimum connection time at Inverness is 5 minutes. The 1754 is formed from an earlier originating service from Wick.

Leaving to the adjacent bus station, we then board the 18:00 Scottish CityLink service 919 to Urquhart Castle, arriving at 18:40 Sunday evening.

To clarify:
We boarded the 17:32 from Beauly to Inverness, which arrived at 17:47, not 17:50. Therefore, we were allowed to board the 17:54 from Inverness to Wick. Therefore, we are now in Wick, with the last valid posting being this:
We then board the 17:54 ScotRail service 2H65 (formed of same train I think so ok) to Wick, arriving at 22:07 Sunday evening.

Public transport has stopped for the day, so we must too. We take an overnight in Wick before boarding the first ScotRail of the morning south to Kildonan. We depart Wick at 06:18 and arrive at Kildonan at 07:47 on a Monday.

Could be worse. The way the timetables work, I'll be there for over 4 hours in September.

We pop out of the station to the Hospital Road End bus stop where we board the 10:21 D+E Coaches route 906A to Lairg Post Office, arriving there at 10:50 on a Monday.

Here, we choose to wait for the 12:30 ‘The Durness Bus’ service 806 to Kinlochbervie, at Harbour, arriving at 14:00 Monday afternoon.

This must be one of the more remote spots this game has got to!

Given that we just did Kildonan, I'm willing to contest that point! However, the public transport leaves a lot to be desired.

Our only option is to wait for the 19:27 Durness Bus route 804 to Durness Visitor Centre, arriving there at 20:05 on a Monday.

That was the last bus of the day, so the following morning we board the 0804 Durness Bus service 806 to Lairg (Railway Station), arriving there at 1028 on Tuesday morning.

There’s remarkably little happening here transport-wise, so we decide to sinply hop on the Stagecoach North Scotland service 81 to Thurso, Royal Bank of Scotland, arriving a whole minute later at 18:21 Tuesday evening.
