I have that as a 0.6 mile walk on Google Maps so not sure if its permitted. Ryde Bus Station is 0.5 so presumably would be, but I'm not sure.

Also, the 1540 sailing from Portsmouth Harbour only runs on Bank Holiday Mondays (code c), as shown by the timetable: http://www.wightlink.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/timetable-portsmouth-to-ryde.pdf so the next sailing would be 1615.

Because your move involved a 0.6 mile walk, which contravenes the rules (which are adhered to elsewhere where it may seem silly, so I think they stick here). Ryde pier is just very long (the Island line stops at both ends!)

Post #16005 seems to confirm otherwise. When I said shall we use the 1615 ferry to Southsea instead the response was yes let's do that.

It appears that some confusion has occurred, so I'll try to rectify it.
My understanding is that post 16001 by @DanTrain was originally for the 15:40 sailing from Portsmouth to Ryde Pier Head but was then changed to the 16:15 ferry when @James Wake noted that the 15:40 only runs on bank holidays so the next one would be the 16:15. @James Wake then played onward from this move in post #16005 and @DanTrain then continued in #16007. This is the last valid move so can game play please continue from there.
