Not much is happening in this neck of the woods.

Amberley has a most excellent working museum and working area immediately next to the railway station. My wife and I had a most enjoyable day out there last year and would ask you to visit it next time you are in that area.

We make our way to the tram platforms and board the 1936 Tramlink service to Wimbledon tram stop that arrives there at 2003 on Thursday evening.

I agree but I imagine the museum would probably be closing up for the day. It's been rather a long time since I've been down this stretch; I feel a return is due soon!

We avoid the local and extensive bus routes this time, and instead venture out on the 2025 South Western Railway service 1D61 to Boxhill & Westhumble, arriving there at 2054 on Thursday evening.

That is one of my more local stretches of railway, but I still haven't done it! I have a quick look at the website of the museum and it does look very interesting! Can we use heritage railways (it probably wouldn't be this one, but...)

I don't like the fact that RTT refers to Box Hill as Boxhill!

We then walk the 6 minutes (0.3 miles) to Westhumble Street and get the 21:44 Quality Line on behalf of Transport for London service 465 to Surbiton Station (Stop NB), arriving at 22:19 Thursday evening.

I like the 465, as it goes so far out of London as Dorking, and it feels a bit odd seeing a London bus in Dorking or Leatherhead!

Exiting the station to the bus stops outside on Victoria Road, we then board the 2225 Abellio London service K1 to New Malden (High Street), arriving there at 2251 on Thursday evening.

Gameplay

The Aim of the game is to travel around the country using public transport in a pseudo-realistic fashion. To play, you must depart from the station or stop where the previous post arrived using a permitted timetabled public transport service.

In reply to the query just raised regarding heritage railways, all I can see in the current quiz rules is what is said in the extract above.

Both DanTrainMan185 and I were regular contributors to the first version of this quiz run by Zoe and he may well, being much younger in years than I with a far better memory than I, know what was allowed on that particular first version of this quiz.

This journey is listed as taking the same amount of time on the X26 Express, but it leaves later!

To while away quite a significant portion of the night we then get the 02:21 Stagecoach London on behalf of Transport for London service N199 to Trafalgar Square Square (Stop K), arriving at 03:25 Friday morning.
