Understandably at such an unearthly hour of the day, we remain stranded at this small station overnight, so we let a few hours pass before we board the first north-eastbound service of the day, which is the 0527 South Western Railway service 1B14. We take this as far as Basingstoke, arriving there at 0633 on Tuesday morning.
We leave the railway station and take the five minute uphill walk to the bus station and board the 1030 Aimee's service 109 to Leek (West Street, opposite Grove Street) that arrives there at 1102 on Tuesday morning.
Unfortunately the bus station is slightly to far to walk from there, so we walk to Brook Street (0.5 miles, 11 minutes) and get the 13:08 D&G Bus service 16 to Buxton (Terrace Road), arriving at 13:39 Tuesday afternoon.
