What's happening about this?

I'm not actually sure to be honest; because backontrack hasn't got back to us, I think we'll just have to continue from the later arrival, even though there was an earlier service we could have used. The game has been delayed by over a week now.

We then board the 1021 Stagecoach East Kent service 38 to Birchington-on-Sea station, arriving there at 1028 on Wednesday morning.

Just out of interest, would the earlier service from backontrack get us on another earlier service?

This service line (Ramsgate to London Victoria via Sittingbourne) I have done completely, a bit stupidly, without realising, off 2R43 from Deal (via Minster!) on to 2U57 (and 1P56) to London Victoria, which takes 2 hr 16 min! This trip (out to Canterbury West but should have been Deal but there was an accident and back from Deal) is mainly what causes me to have more stations visited on Southeastern than my home TOC SWT!

Get the 11:12 Southeastern service to London Victoria, arriving at 12:51 Wednesday afternoon.
