Apologies, was looking at tomorrow's departures on Google forgetting it's Saturday so it's slightly different.

However, I'm not quite sure which stop you've gone from; perhaps there's another Rimrose Road stop but the stop I selected randomly is 0.9 miles/19 minutes away from the Hornby Road stop so that X2 journey isn't valid I'm afraid. The stop in question is at the western end of Knowsley Road, close the intersection of the A565/Rimrose Road itself. Please see attached.

Edit: it's actually called Bulwer Street on Bus Times, hence the confusion. Apologies.
