We then board the 0754 Brighton and Hove Buses service 5 to Patcham (Mackie Avenue), arriving there at 0822 on Wednesday morning.

Oops sorry!

Unfortunately, Ashchurch for Tewkesbury has a somewhat limited service, so we have to wait for 2O94, the 1524 First Great Western service to Lawrence Hill, arriving there at 1634 on Wednesday afternoon.

plenty of buses to Tewkesbury and Cheltenham - but that's by the by

The 1658 FGW departure from Lawrence Hill takes us to Dilton Marsh Halt, arriving at 1753 Wednesday afternoon - request stop

Too slow

Determined to get to Dilton Marsh, we take the 1818 departure and arrive there at 1822 Wednesday afternoon

There probably is, however I didn't have time to look for them as I was in a rush to get to a staff meeting and I was also on my phone, which I always find is too fiddly. We've also been on a LOT of bus journeys lately, particularly on our travels to Manchester, Birmingham, Brighton and the Isle of Wight.

Wishing to return to a different part of the south coast, we give our signal at this request stop and board the 1943 FGW service to Southampton Central that arrives there at 2048 on Wednesday evening.

We then board the 2106 First Hampshire service 2 to Millbrook (Windrush Road), arriving there at 2125 on Wednesday evening.

A move at last!

We can make one more move at least at this late hour and we step aboard First in Hampshire's 8B service to Allington Lane Roundabout at 2331 and arrive at 2348 on Wednesday evening

Having been chucked off we look for a patch of grass to bed down for the night, glad it's the month of May. We might well survive to live another day.

Its about 100-200 yards! No service buses serve the railway station.
