Unfortunately we are a minute too short of the minumum connection time for the next available service so we wait for the 0901 Stagecoach Highlands service 27 to Dingwall (Burns Crescent), arriving there at 0925 on Wednesday morning.

Becoming ever so fed up of buses, we enter the station and board the 1248 ScotRail service 1A16 to Aberdeen, arriving there at 1456 on Wednesday afternoon.
This gives us the chance to ride on what is claimed to be one of the most scenic bus routes in Scotland. We take the short walk to Union Square Bus Station and take the 15.30 Stagecoach Bluebird service 201 to Ballater, Golf Road arriving at 17.12 on Wednesday.

No such place shown in the service 1 timetable. Do you mean Garthdee, Bridge of Dee Court as suggested by the timings?

Bridge of Don is a suburb in the north part of Aberdeen with a population over 19,000.
I know where Bridge of Don is but the timings given suggest a bus going the other way.

We walk (10 min / 0.4 mile) to the Cairnhill Rd stop, where we then await the 1430 Stagecoach East Scotland X7 service. we alight at Dundee, Railway Station at 1654 on Friday.

The only bus here on a Saturday is the aforementioned Dales & District 73, running on its loop around Bedale. We await the 0935 departure, and retrace our steps, but to the hopefully more convenient Northallerton, Buck Inn at 0958 on Saturday.
