Normally, I'd go against such moves that involving returning to where we've just come from, however by going back into Wales it's only services to/from Chester that are still running as of now.

So, we next board the 1910 Arriva Wales service 4S to Chester (Railway Station), arriving there at 2006 on Saturday evening.

I agree wholeheartedly with your expressed sentiments and it is indeed a sorry state of affairs that on arriving at Mold bus station (a town with a Crown Court) at 1855 on a Saturday evening, the only onward bus service from there was a return bus back to Chester.

We enter the railway station and next board the 2019 Avanti West Coast service to Holyhead that arrives there at 2155 on Saturday evening.

We are also in a predicament where there is also no more transport for Holyhead either (would have thought there'd have been one more service just to Crewe or something), so we return in the morning for the first service of the day, the 0750 Transport for Wales service 1H80 to Newton-le-Willows, arriving there at 1021 on Sunday morning.

It's the joys of North Wales to be fair!

We leave the station and walk outside to the adjacent bus stances and there board the 1054 Warrington's Own Buses service 22 to Downall Green (Rectory Road) that arrives there at 1140 on Saturday morning.
This is a Saturday service, Paul. Could you re-check your times for a Sunday?

I seem to only find a stop called Larkfield Road in St Michaels....
No, there is indeed a Parkfield Road. It's in Sefton Park, not too far from St Michael's station.

We next board the 1431 Arriva North West service 82 to Speke (Morrisons), arriving there at 1501 on Sunday morning.

I'm not too familiar with that area of Liverpool, just saw the name St Michaels Hamlet on Google Maps and assumed that was the name of the area around the station.

We walk the 9 minutes (0.4 miles) to Little Heath Road and get the 1530 Arriva North West service 82A to Runcorn (Halton Lea North), arriving at 1630 Sunday afternoon.

Yes, but all that I had to go on was the fact that the posting clearly stated....St Michaels (Parkfield Road). Without the map information in websites such as bustimes.org which is not provided, one would need a comprehensive surround settlement information knowledge

Surely it is the named area, not the road, that one looks at in terms of preparing a follow-up posting.

Personally, if i am following on from a bus post, I start with the bustimes timetable for the bus that we have just arrived at...

Walking to Halton Lea South (7 min / 0.3 mile) we board Arriva North West service 110 at 1652. We decide to alight at Penketh (PO) at 1728 on Sunday.

Just a quick note from the QMs, popping their heads in to say well done everyone -

I think everyone has done the right thing here

The post we've been discussing above gave a reasonably unambiguous description of the stop and service they meant (great stuff)

Someone who didn't find it unambiguous asked for help locating where the stop was (also great, to be welcomed)

We've worked together to build a consensus that we know which stop it is and the quiz can move forward (amazing)

Great to see things working as they should do, nice job everyone.

Not really, I've always been able to work out where we are in all the years I've been playing this game. I personally wouldn't rely solely on the area.

As I have said countless times before, Bus Times is great for listing stops, but the settlement stated in those stops isn't always 100% accurate. For example, in your post #35345, you quoted an area named Downall Green. When I used Google Maps the stop in question was in fact in Garswood. In fact, a search on Google Maps didn't even come up with such a place!

I'm not saying any further on the matter; this isn't the first time I mentioned this and I think everybody is able to work out where we are but I'm happy to discuss via PM if anyone wants to add anything as I don't want to clog up the thread. :)

Rather than a return on the 42B, we await Stagecoach Manchester (or it may be Belle Vue Coaches - both timetables are the same and appear to be current) service 877 at 0807. We alight at Bramhall Station at 0815 on Monday.

This appears to be a school service, but nowhere does it appear to be "closed", so I'm taking a punt that we will be allowed to board...
