And here I am, back on the forum to tell you about my 0740 being cancelled and another half-hour of wasted time on the platform for the 0808.

Anyone have any idea why I chose my particular username? ;)

According to mrs fuming, it seems I have to just shrug my shoulders and accept it for what it is... travelling by local rail is, and always will be, an absolute nightmare, from which no amount of ranting and raving will change it.

Here's a wishlist:

1. Sort that tunnel out and rebuild the line through it.
2. Stick a load of sidings or whatever from Greenfield onwards, so the local stopper can pull over and let the glamorous TPE rumble past at more opportunities, instead of stranding it at Marsden.
3. Put longer trains on, you know, to make use of those superduper very long platforms that have been around since the year dot.

None of the above is ever going to happen though, but in the meantime, i await the new services mentioned earlier with renewed hope.

Will return with tomorrow's predictable woes. Goodnight!

You should have gone for the 08.15 ex Huddersfield today - it actually departed on time for the first time in a week!
