The Tin Bath Extra (http://www.uksteam.info/tours/t10/t1107a.htm) will be in Sheffield tomorrow lunch time and im planning on getting up there to photo/video its arrival and departure, but is there any way I can find out the platform its due on before I set off tomorrow?

I know its coming in from the south and will leave north, and im hoping it will be on platform 5 or 6 so I can get the best video of it entering the station, I just hope it will not be on 8 because that's rubbish for getting a good video, but on the other hand it will be sitting at Sheffield for almost an hour so im worried they will stick it on 8 out of the way!

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Anybody know what's happening to this service with the Hope Valley line being closed until at least 18.00 with a derailed freight train at Grindleford?

She has just departed some 2 hours late, with the station announcer stil apologising for the late arrival!

Got quite a few videos and photos today so will try and upload later but will more than likely be tomorrow. Was certainly worth the wait, and the pint in The Sheffield Tap has been very well earned!

Very good place indeed, although a tad expensive. Suppose compared to places like the chain bars in York or Newcastle stations it is much better.

So which way did it go to get to Lichfield TV ?
via crewe or stoke ?
if the latter, will this have been the first public steam train over the cheadle-hulme to kidsgrove route since 1968 ?

just found out on youtube - went via crewe and stafford, return via rochdale not copy pit.

I have just watched the videos on Youtube, I'm a little confused, some show a class 47 on the rear some do not.

Was this taken off at some point.

Removed at Manchester Vic and stayed there to work the train back to Preston at the end of the day.
