(£) I am suprised there is no dicussion, albeit there are probably no raised eyebrows into the investigation.

(£) Little or no discussion on the forums today regarding this.

"Rail bosses investigated over alleged misuse of public cash"
-Taxpayer could take on company's £23 billion debt

Antony White, QC will investigate and quiz anybody involved or linked to the alleged dealings.

Iain Coucher and Victoria Pender (business partners) apparently received £180,000 every 3 months for "unspecified services" on top of bonuses, salaries and bonuses. - Company founded as Councher Pender Ltd.

The investigation will be private - if anything is found - it will be handed over to the relevant authorities to start proceedings etc - if nothing is found, then the report will be released to the public.

Also, the investigation has been agreed by the TSSA and Network Rail.

Phil Hammond wants to take on the debt for the benefit of FOI.

-----

Although I had no idea how deep Iain Coucher was involved from the start along with Victoria Pender.

Tim Coucher (brother of Iain) employed via public appointments system to project manage a multimillion-pound new Network Rail HQ...

Pension deficit of £985m

Employees rose 174% from 2003 - 2010
Wages rose 510%
