Apparently there were some problems at Willesden yesterday whilst the train was being put together - it seems that neither the sleeping car nor the BSO wanted to talk to the ETS systems. As both of these vehicles were essential to the train's running (sleeping car so that crews can work the train and still keep within their hours allowed), there was the possibility that it might not run at all...

Presumably, these difficulties were sorted out, but may perhaps be the reason for the late arrival of the train into Euston.

As I was near Blisworth, I was obviously hopeful that the train would run as booked via Weedon and I'm glad to say it did, having made up some of the lost time. Sadly the sun didn't want to play, but the train still made a nice sight in any case:

Does anyone know where the train and stock are stabling Friday whilst the passengers are at Ravenglass please?
The past 2-3 years Barrow has obliged.

Barrow. Train goes via Carlisle and Workington to Ravenglass then is serviced in Barrow.

Looks like this tour ran to time - the bits of gen I've been able to find show it as running on time up to Fort William, and back, past Carstairs on time. Bet there's a great atmosphere on board!

Last sighting I've seen was at Stafford where it passed at speed, of course, a few minutes down at 22:15.
