The staff at Nottingham mostly know me anyway, but when I went to Sheffield, this (not being racist) asian guy as soon as I said the word 'child' when buying a ticket to Stockport said "YOU GOT PROOF OF AGE??" :roll:

Yeah. See, the last drink I had was probably months ago, if not longer. I'll have the occassional drink if there's like a small gathering of friends for a party or whatever, but other than that, I just don't do it.

I'm on a college course at the moment that's basically for the drop out troublemakers, and we all had to introduce ourselves on the first day. When asked about our interests, about 95% of them said "getting p*ssed and smoking".

And that just saddens me. The fact that people laugh at me for being a rail enthusiast, but they have no hobbies themselves. Nothing that they're interested in, or want to do with their time apart from getting drunk.

That's why I'm proud to be a rail enthusiast. I'm proud that I have something that I enjoy. A hobby. It's more than a lot of people have.

I totally agree with you. I keep saying this to everyone... I get bullied at school for my interest, but who gives a flying s***e what people think about us. I enjoy my hobby, and I'm sure you do. No one else has hobbies these days, so we should be proud of what we do.

Chavs and other 'common' things like that will love to take the mick out of us, but just take one look at them...
Whose in the better position... Harmless people with hobbies... or disgusting, foul mouthed idiots like that????

I was bullied at school. But I'm at college now, and it's much better.

College is the point where all the kids come out of school, and they've either gotta grow up and get along with people, or just get kicked off and have to go earn minimum wage for the rest of their lives.

The chavs and troublemakers are no longer the cool ones. They're just the timewasters that no one wants.

Yeah. Don't worry, the popular chav kids just get everything so easily when they're at school. It'll hit them hard when they have to grow up and work with different people.

I started college in September 07. I was under confident and just never spoke to people. I would spend all my dinner breaks on my own and I hated it. I dropped out.

Now I'm on this course, and I love it. The other people on it are the kind of people that I would never have spoken to, but I pushed myself on those first few days to talk to people and just be social.

Best thing I've ever done. I'm so, so proud of myself. Normally I'd be the one sat on my own or whatever, but now...after those years of bullying and not fitting in, things are actually going well.

Oh yes, they will have a surprise when they realise that life isnt a joke like they think it is..... When they are at the height of their career, they will have to ask many questions.... the most popular being..... 'Would you like fries with that?'

None of my friends at school know that I'm an enthusiast. I've kept it quiet for the past 4/5 years now, but I added that other galleries box on fotopic now, so anyone looking on my general photo site, will see the link to my rail photo site. I cba to tell them, they can find out for themselves.

Most of my school is full of chavs (suprisingly it's a catholic one as well), and all they do is go round making noise, bunking off, smoking ect.... but yeh, when they hit work, it'll totaly change them. They think part time is hard, lets see them work full time
