Who else is looking forward to this?
And...could anyone advise on when it would be best to see it on the return journey through Bescot?

Hallo, Yes, all being well I am booked on this and looking forward to the trip, just trying to find somewhere good in Shrewsbury not too fare from the station to get a decent lunch and drink or 2!! Rgds Stephen.

there are a few places around the station a couple of pubs a few shops that sell hot sandwiches also a pizza pace straight oppisite the station plenty in town just up the hill which isnt too far theres a mcdonalds and a greggs or if you cross the road and head past the bus station and keep going you come to the shrewsbury hotel a witherspoons which does good beer and good food and quite reasonable prices

GOOD AFTERNOON,

Did anyone go on this Salopian, I was due to, but family illness meant I had to cancel at the last minute sadly. Did the trip go well?

I was out to see it and from reports on another site, it was very successfull, the Duke had a rether bad steam leak develop from the left hand side near the cylinder, but this was fixd during the stop at Shrewsbury. Quite a lot of decent videos on YouTube.
