Yesterday, The Royal Wessex (Three Bridges to Weymouth and back) ran almost bang on time all the way there and all the way back as far as Preston Park (near Brighton). It then stayed there about 30 minutes longer than scheduled, getting into Three Bridges at 2200 instead of 2130.

Out of curiosity (having stood in a field for 45mins in the gathering gloom!) does anyone know what caused the delay?

Must have been an issue in the brighton area, return leg was on time going through Goring-by-Sea.

Yes, the timings on Real Time Trains showed it as spot on time as far as the arrival at Preston Park, but then about 30 minutes late leaving there. It was definitely 30 minutes late arriving at Three Bridges as I just about saw it (and just about filmed it!)
