90043 is in line to work again tomorrow night.

As for the Pendo vs MK3 argument, the 'Pretendolino' set is a bit tired and grubby. However it would be interesting to see what passengers would say if you put a WSMR MK3 next to a Pendolino and asked them to compare.

I think they would say two things.

1. Where is the button to open the door?

2. Why is the Pendolino disappearing off into the distance why we trundle along?

1K39 18:43 EUS-CRE via BHM is currently running THFO as the loco hauled set due to the additional 18:57 EUS-MAN now also running on a Thursday.

Not sure how long this will last for like this though.

You are confused by the fact that it now runs 1K39 on a Thursday to free a 390 to run the 1857 to Manchester, which now is also ThFO

90046 is out today...

Have fun - and if you're on the 1630 from BHM, so will I be!

Just incase anybody wanted to know, 90 046 got tired and refused to run the 18:43 to Crewe. The service was cancelled, the need for WB64 was caused by Brangelina hiring a Pendolino :)

90046 then got bashed about and limped off to Wembley with the stock at 2130 ish and was to get a visit from a fitter today to see if it could be fixed at Wembley or would have to go back North.According to 90 gen it is attached to the stock as of 20:06 today.

i wonder how much extra Virgin are making off spotters/bashers on these runs?

Quite a lot, having used it a few times and counted those obvious haulage fans in just the front carriage and noting how many get off at Milton K and how many stay on board, then think of the fares... they're easily earning upwards of £1000 extra per 1K39...

Why is it out? I would have thought 390 054 would alleviate the need for this set, when a Pendo breaks down, the extra pendo covers for it and a Voyager returns to working to Scotland from Birmingham.

Unless Brad Pitt is out track bashing?
