The Peffery Way Association is aiming to connect together the Easter Ross towns of Dingwall and Strathpeffer via a new cycle/footpath along the alignment of the closed railway from Strathpeffer to Fodderty Junction (on the Dingwall-Kyle of Lochalsh line). This path will be the Peffery Way itself.

The Peffery Way Association said:
Our goal is to create a low level foot/cycle path link between Dingwall and Strathpeffer and the communities in between. This will avoid people having to cross the busy A834 road or Kyle to Inverness railway line. We’ll use the disused railway as much as possible, avoiding the steep hills that surround this beautiful valley.

So far, our volunteers have racked up 481 work hours on the path.

I wish them the utmost success with this plan.
