I suspect it's a rogue advert placed by google ads. That's the usual cause of any such garbage.

Report it to the forum administrators, they can ask their ad provider to block errant ads.

I'm using Firefox as my browser, and run AdBlock which means I don't see these sort of pop-ups etc - what browser are you using?

You can see by this post on Twitter that the problem is being investigated by Flashtalking, I'd imagine it'll be fixed by now. In any case, from time to time these things do happen - they are a bit annoying but harmless, and usually disappear quite quickly. In any case, the adverts they are associated with are vital to the continued operation of the forum as they cover our costs.

You should try ghostly too if its on FF - amazing what else is running in the background if you didnt already know.
