"Join us on board The North Eastern Express for a memorable trip, direct from your local Mid Cheshire Line railway station, to Darlington, Durham and Newcastle.
You can board at Chester, Mouldsworth, Cuddington, Greenbank, Northwich, Plumley, Knutsford, Mobberley, Hale and Altrincham.
The train will also call at Stockport, Reddish South & Stalybridge for passengers.
Alight at Darlington and you can visit Shildon (the cradle of railways). Our train continues to Durham for its cathedral, university & riverside or our optional trip to The Beamish Living Museum of the North. The train's final destination is Newcastle for its Quayside area, bridges and many other places of interest."
Our special excursion will comprise traditional air-conditioned Inter-City coaches hauled by a Class 67 diesel locomotive.
First class service is arranged around tables for two and four although we regret all tables for two have now been sold.
Standard class is around tables for four. There will be a buffet car and trolley service.
