Any particular reason?

Next up is the former limit of Wirral Line elctrification - Rock Ferry. Which, thinking about it, is no different to Kirkby and Ormskirk in that sense. It's just a lot busier - and much more central, and with plenty of Merseyside to go!

Well for a start every other surface is painted in Merseyrail's hideous shade of yellow, the walls are dark red stone and with ivy growing all over them, which doesn't work on anything other than quaint country cottages. The glass roof illuminates the track, and only the track, meaning the platforms are in a perpetual shadow (coupled with the fact the walls are so dark anyway), the concourse is cold, empty and about as welcoming as a punch in the face.

To Bebington.

Ouch! I've only ever been through so I had no idea!

The only places on the Wirral that I've been to in the strictest possible sense are central Birkenhead and New Brighton...

Well it's only my opinion, I'm not a big fan of late Victorian architecture, or Georgian for that matter - I refuse to live in a house with high ceilings for example. But Green Lane... *shudder*, give me two hours at Wakefield Kirkgate any day

Spital.

By contrast, farmer Eastham has not lost his Rake.

This must be the first time a station name in this thread has been split like that

EDIT: 4,000th post in this thread. After less than one month...

Bed won't beckon for me any time soon. Not when I got up at 23:20

Ince and Elton... and presumably the end of the thread for the time being. (Unless Paul or Eagle turns up at 4am or whatever anyway!)

As I said earlier, I was working in the cloakroom. Helsby

(Just a reminder that Ellesmere Port–Helsby isn't quite infrequent enough to get a long wait bonus :|)

I think we are going to have to recruit OxtedL to crunch up some statistics for this thread! :)

St Albans Abbey for the win. <:D

Tip: never send us down a branch with an even number of stations if you're only playing against one other person :P

Next game starts from Bare Lane.

Looks like I'm still trying to get us on some of the various lines this game hasn't explored yet...
I go out all Saturday afternoon, then go to bed, and everyone turns up at St Albans Abbey. Maybe I need to become nocturnal, like everyone else on here seems to be...
