I think it's only a stop (i.e. you can get on the train) on the Fort William section after the other two have left. Certainly if you're in the Inverness carriage the doors won't be unlocked there.

My point was it doesn't appear in the Inverness timetable; if, on the other hand, we were on the Fort William sleeper, there is a given arrival/departure time for the sleeper at Edinburgh, along with "limited seating accommodation". There would then have been a far stronger case to have Edinburgh included for these purposes...

Mind you, if everyone agrees that Stirling was a valid move, then hey ho, I've got the points!
