It would be the same train that we'd just been on from Stockport via Reddish South. Nothing else to Stalybridge from Manchester calls Guide Bridge.

I can't find anything from Stalybridge to Victoria that skips Ashton-under-Lyne though; this game might not be over yet...

I thought a fair bit did Stalybridge-Vic fast and I had walked into a defeat.
Guide Bridge-Stalybridge I don't see as a parly as there is a freqeunt service over the line. It is an infrequent service bonus though as it is the only such train to actually call at Guide Bridge.
