Perry Barr has two R's in it ;)
Four, surely?

So much for Paul being the one with an inability to spell correctly  I should have put "Barr" only.

Chappel and Wakes Colne on the misleadingly-named Gainsborough Line.

Last time we came this way it was my doing and I gazumped you all. This time, I'm going to be nice. Who wants the points?

Would the Tyne Valley win the award for the most common starting route? :?

Anyhow, heading east. Wylam

Gee... so many games going on now, it's hard to keep up! :p No wonder regular players' post counts are typically the highest on the forum

But quiz forum posts don't count towards the count (if they did, I'd be on about 1,300 by now).

True, but they count towards the totals for the last 1/7/28 day(s), which are consistently dominated by Quiz players. At present, the Top Ten in the 28-day list reads thusly:

Paul Sidorczuk; Robinson; Ivo; Class172; Lampshade; Eagle; MattE2010; Nym; Schnellzug; Mojo

All of the above are at least semi-regular in the Quiz Forum, including even Mojo. Meanwhile, ole man, OxtedL, Track Basher and Zoe, all of whom are also at least semi-regular in the Quiz forum, can be found in one of the other current-period lists.

Also, be sure to read this - it has an answer for you regarding post counts...

P.S.: You say that you would be on about 1,300 by now. I would probably be on 6,000 by now - and I dread to think what MattE would be on! We used to talk endlessly about the day we would storm the Top Ten, until my old laptop conked out - literally one week before the change was made. Of course, looking now, it won't happen to me any time soon, although whether the nsame can be said for our young friend in Lancashire is another matter!

I have given regular statistics on this thread for this particular quiz and who can ever forget the day of "Posting Thursday" when no less than 531 postings were made. I am sure that adtrainz did not realise what a task that he had created for himself when he offered, as quizmaster, to keep a "points league table" for members.

I take what you said above to heart and looking at the "Top Posters" 28 day total, which does contain the figures of postings in the Quiz Forum, I must say that my posting total there of 1,044 in that 28 day period (horrifying as it looks) is mainly due to this particular quiz. My "official" posting total of 3,710 is a more correct reflection of the number of postings made combined on all the other parts of the forum that reflect some better input into threads.

Epistle now over, the next station on the line was made famous by the 19th century writer George Ridley with the song about the races at....Blaydon

Paul, you are not alone in having hit a four-figure total in one month. I have done it. HSTPower has done it. I would be surprised if MattE had not done it. There are probably a few others as well. But hey... as the Quiz Forum perennials, it is our "lot" on this forum to keep things fresh and active. And speaking of which, check out my new game, Football Club Association, if you haven't already.

Next up is MetroCentre - and after that, a potential Brucey Bonus!

Lastly, if I may, a little "plug". Keep your eyes peeled to the General Discussion forum also, because at some point in the next few days I will be posting a new thread (relating to this one) about my upcoming novel! I hope to build a strong base of potential readers through this forum, and intend to release a couple of preview passages from it. Stay tuned for that! (Said action will probably be timed to coincide with the expiry of my Pokémon Week.)
