Think the rules are this - You can change direction but only on a stated service that doesn't stop at said stations. Example.... Earlier, I won with Stratford Upon Avon, when somebody could have mentioned the non stop train to Henley In Arden which is one a day. This would have been a legal move I believe.

Think we should probably take this back to somewhere around Troon to avoid confusion??

The only chance I get to play on this particular "quick-fire" quiz and make a posting that has not already been beaten by the time that I make my posting, is to set my alarm clock for 0430:roll:


Ayr........(incidentally, looking at the previous posting, are there all that many services that serve Newton-on-Ayr these days) ?

Hourly off-peak according to National Rail (which would be every other Glasgow-Ayr train), up to twice-hourly in the peak.

I would say that this game's as predictable as we make it! Which is presumably the reason for starting on a through line...
