I'd just like to point out that there's more to this game than winning, and that skipping stops is often deliberate rather than accidental, in order to accumulate more points. The aim of this game is to accumulate as many points as possible, not to win as many times as possible. Winning a small number of very long legs will often get you more points than winning several very short legs.
