Simply adding the word 'Bonus' beneath the station name is quite sufficient to serve as a reminder on the odd ocassion I might need one. ;) I always check every move, and will have already awarded any bonus points as may be appropriate before I even see any notes left for me. However, I am afraid the answer is not that simple, and ultimately as players it is not necessary that you need to know, but I shall attempt to give some clarity.

The Long Wait Bonus is relatively straightforward in that the rules stipulate fewer than three trains a day. However, don't forget to include Saturday and Sunday services. Just because a station only has one train per day Mondays to Fridays, it does not automatically score a Long Wait Bonus. There are plenty of rural stations that have a better service at weekends. If a station gets three or more trains on a Sunday, it doesn't score the Long Wait Bonus. (Lakenheath, for instance, on the current timetable.)

The Parliamentary Bonus is rather less clear cut. It depends on a number of factors, and I have a series of 'tests' that I apply before deciding whether a service is a Parly or not. Some Parly services are obvious, in other places it is less easy. Whether a service is a Parly or not depends on the level of service over the course of the week, along with the absence of any other passenger trains between the relevant stations. If a station is only open one day a week, it is likely to score a Parliamentary Bonus; but it may depend on the level of service it gets on that one day each week. If a station only has one train a day but it runs Mondays to Saturdays, a Long Wait Bonus is more likely instead. As I say, it's not straightforward.

Perhaps the advice given of just adding "bonus" to the posting as stated above is the way to deal with such matters.

Nothing runs from Shipton to Moreton-in-Marsh without calling at Kingham.

We are fine up to and including post #132544 Shipton, posted by Paul Sidorczuk. Kingham, as posted by A Challenge in #132549, is the next valid post from which we can proceed.

Could I ask A Challenge to strike-through post #132546 Moreton-in-Marsh, and Paul Sidorczuk to do likewise with #132548 Kingham for the sake of good order since the leg has yet to conclude.
