The Isle of Wight is perfectly valid, forming part ot the 'mainline' network. However, since onward ferry connections to the mainland are not allowed, visits to the Isle of Wight are rare - and brief....

I'm just a bit rusty when a rare visit to the Isle of Wight comes up.

I was just unsure whether it is classed as part of the Network Rail system, it seems to be okay, so continue.

I just re-read parts of that massive journey we made from Ash to East Kilbride via Weymouth, Llanelli and Settle. I wonder what the most- and least-mentioned stations on this game are, and which was the last one to be mentioned after the game had started.

Rule 3.

Connections can only be made at the same station, no walking or other transport connections are permitted. (N.B No ferry service to enable travel to and from the Isle of Wight that will link stations on the Island Line to an ongoing onwards journey either to or from the mainland is allowed, as per the above!)

We have only just returned home and see that a query has been raised about travel to the Isle of Wight. Rule 3 of the quiz, mentioned above, does make note of this.

Based on what Rule 3 states, I now call for an in-depth adjudication on the last short leg that began on the Isle of Wight and the need, if any, for the striking through of any postings
