You said Maidstone West, which is wrong, because I said Maidstone EAST.
There are no intermediate stations between West Malling and Maidstone East.
Barming is between Borough Green and East Malling.

We all have something in common in this, WE'RE ALL NORTHERNERS TRYING TO NAME SOUTH-EASTERN STATIONS WHICH WE'VE NEVER BEEN TO!

YOU live in Hull. I live in Kent.

I think we know who's right here. ;)

The stations go:

West Malling
East Malling
Barming
Maidstone East

and onwards.

Think about it. East Malling is going to be EAST of West Malling! They're not going to be flipped - there are myriad cases of this across the country, and east is always east of west! (Actually, in this case it isn't, but that's a special case - so that travellers didn't confuse the station with the City of Westminster).
