Is there a service from Cheltenham Spa to University that doesn't call at Bromsgrove, also what trains don't call at Birmingham New Street on the Cross City line?

A typical commuter-belt part of north-west England
There are a couple of new players around, so some reminders:
  • If you make a mistake, it will need to be struck through with [s][/s] tags. If you then wish to change your post to a different move, you must do it by making a new post - if there haven't been any intermediate posts, this will activate the Double Post Prevention system, but this is fine. This helps everyone work out what order things have happened in.
  • You need to carefully check that some (at least weekly) train makes your desired journey without stopping anywhere in between, for every move you make.
Feel free to drop a QM a PM if we can be of assistance.

This might now be an opportune time to show the above very recent posting that was made by one of the forum quizmasters, as there have been some instances of late where the quiz has been held up because of incorrect use of skip-services in posting submissions.

I require assistance from one of my fellow Adjudicators on the service pattern after Cheltenham Spa...please be patient, I'll be back with an answer shortly.

Just done a check on National Rail Enquiries and the service pattern is Ashchurch for Tewkesbury, Cheltenham Spa, Bromsgrove, University and Birmingham New Street. I'm pretty sure that no service omits Bromsgrove, so the last valid station is Cheltenham Spa.

Could 185143 please strikethrough University and Birmingham New Street, cheers.

It appears that University is actually a valid move because there are lots of services that do Cheltenham to Uni non stop. For example this one.

It now seems to be that a service exists, not calling at Bromsgrove, so we've got two choices, continue towards Swindon or from Birmingham New Street if the relevant stations are reinstated.
