I posted when your post said Giffnock, so mine is the valid post. Can you change yours back, DL?

Before I start the next leg, I'd like to thank everyone who participated for deciding not to concede, and instead create a long leg - unfortunately I can't claim the responsibility for that, though I feel slightly bad for stopping and winning the leg - and in particular DasLunatic for doing the decent thing. My the sun shine on your backs (and may you all remember the delay time). :)

One of you can mention a new station! The next leg will start at Coventry

As one who only half understands the rules, can I ask if Penrith would have been a valid winning move from Carlisle? We can't continue south having already been through Carnforth.

Nope, due to Oxenholme, then Lancaster (although someone would have won eventually).

There was also Lockerbie, temporarily a winning move due to the WCML closure at Lamington.

For the grand sum of five points...

Bedworth

I was tempted to play Lockerbie, but we moved away too fast. Still would've visited Scotland, though!

In all seriousness, I intended for someone else to name those stations, not me. But if I hadn't named them, then we could have had another giant leg...we'd never say them!

The next leg to start at Haydon Bridge

In the end, I'm glad I didn't. <:D:lol:

Please accept my apologies for my slow posts tonight.... I picked up a horrible throat infection on the flight from Atlanta to Manchester last week

Why apologise? I hope you get better soon.

I have sinusitis. :( Throat infections are worse, though, especially if it hurts to swallow.

A bit O/T, but do you have any fruit tea or herbal tea? That can help, if it's not too painful to swallow.

Cheers mate, hope you get better soon.

Blaydon

Some kind individual coughed from start to finish on the flight, spreading germs everywhere. Earlier, I sounded very gruff and husky.
