In this specific case DasLunatic was effectively correcting a typo; clearly no attempt had been made to change the station to another. HMS Ark Royal appears to have editted his post to include St Mary Cray, rather than making a second post.

Although it doesn't appear to be the case here, there have been several incidents recently when a player has edited a post to change it to a different station from the original. With this in mind, I'm sure all the regulars appreciate why suspicion is sometimes aroused on spotting that a post has been editted.

To avoid this, the edit function should only be used to strike-through an incorrect post. A second post should be made rather than adding to one already posted. The double post prevention system should work automatically, without any further action required (except perhaps a page refresh.) Even if perfectly innocent and done at a time when there are no other posters around, an edit may arouse suspicion and it is best to avoid it.

Regarding a typo, if the identity of the station is still clear to others, personally I would just leave it. If nothing else, it will give everyone a bit of a laugh, or unleash the inner pedant should you prefer! :D

Put S in square brackets at the start of where you want the strike-through to commence and /S in square brackets at the end of the text to be struck-through
