Erm, you can - there's a limited service train from the West Highlands that skips stations between these two.

However, it doesn't skip Maryhill, so you're right.

I thought there was a limited service West Highlands train that ran non-stop between these two. However, it actually runs non-stop from Singer to Maryhill, so I'll strikethrough my post. Apologies - entirely my fault.

I'll stick to my promise earlier and go for Drumchapel. I was trying to get us to do the Bathgate Line (Shotts and Bathgate both in one leg!) then onwards from Edinburgh Park to Linlithgow, Dalmeny, South Gyle, North Queensferry, Fife, Dundee, Aberdeen, Inverness, Perth, Stirling, (not Invergowrie), Larbert, (not Alloa), Croy, Falkirk High, Polmont, Falkirk Grahamston, Camelon, Cumbernauld, Motherwell, Carlisle and to the south, but it's now impossible (save for one option).
