Did you get the bottle of Champagne to celebrate our first new piece of railway line on this quiz...42 years too late!

On the Todmorden Chord thread, since its inception when the application for the bid monies were made, there has been a total of 1,713 postings of which 289 have been made by me and I am now unfortunately viewed as a great supporter of the X43 Lancashire Witch bus service that has most-unlike "Newton Heath" features of new fleet stock, executive ergonomically-styled high back seating, wifi, etc. What about those postings that claimed that early in 2014, Manchester-bound commuters would desert this service....they must have had a long wait on the platforms for "the late-running Todmorden Chord Flyer". Perhaps their employers will be understanding of the absence of their staff who took such a decision...<(

Hmm no such luxuries as wifi and comfy seats on a Class 142 Pacer and or Class 150 Sprinter, glad I've already done it with a pair of Direct Rail Services Class 20s and Mark 1 stock!
