I have be asked to adjudicate as to my opinion regarding the upcoming blockade between Chorley and Leyland. The relevant extract from the rules of the quiz is as follows:
Temporary disruptions, such as landslips or flooding, should be ignored unless the disruption period exceeds one month.
Table 82 of the National Rail Timetable shows a separate period for the duration of the works, between the 21st of July and the 31st of August inclusive.
http://www.networkrail.co.uk/browse documents/eNRT/May14/timetables/Table 082.pdf
Thus, I consider that the section of line between Chorley and Leyland, and the station at Buckshaw Parkway, should be considered 'out of bounds' during this time period.
