I would point out that, while nothing can be done about the leg as a new leg has started, this move is invalid as there is no southbound service into Bordesley. The only service to call at this station is the 13:18 SO Whitlock's End - Kidderminster service.

I have only just returned from a 130 mile round journey to make a visit to a relative in hospital at Lytham, so have missed out on much that has occurred.

Howsoever, it is important that challenges are made as quickly as possible in cases such as that which you describe, which in this case would have been following the posting of Bordesley, as that was open to contradiction and the previous leg could have continued apace.
