Even though it's the penultimate station on the line and someone will win the leg with the next station, I've got to post it otherwise we'll lose points if there is no reply within a certain time scale.

I'm surprised the Clitheroe - Hellifields only run Sundays as I thought there might be a demand for this on a Saturday too (tag an extra unit on the 10:03 from Victoria, split it at Clitheroe, run it to Hellifield & attach it to the 11:37 to Carlisle. Reverse this with the 16:18 or 18:07 from Carlisle).

The service that I used in my posting , run by Northern Rail on Sundays only, departs at 0836 from Blackpool North and arrives at Carlisle at 1217.

Odd that there is double the service between Clitheroe and Hellifield in the winter than in the summer...
