Just checked on PSUL. Any XC between Sheffield and York not stopping at Leeds or Doncaster is routed up the Dearne Valley, so it is only a long wait (there are other services as well, such as the EMT Scarborough service).

There are also the three or four Northern stoppers between Sheffield and York.

The rules aren't 100% clear, but I understood that the bonus was applied in the direction of travel and there are only 2 Sheffield - York stoppers in each direction according to Table 33. Berney Arms has 4 services a day (2 each way) and is deemed a 'parly', though there are at least 2 other services (1st & last of the day), that are booked over this route.

To clarify the queries about bonuses, assuming there are still two trains a day in each direction, Pontefract Baghill and Berney Arms both score long wait bonuses.
