Thought for the day.

Until the matter of lines being out of commission for a considerable period of time has been made much clearer as a result of what is revealed during reinstatement works, can we just work on the two agreed current line embargoes used on this particular quiz:-

1) Copy Pit line....Latest news still states 23rd March 2014 as the reopening date when the Holme tunnel works will be due for completion.

2) Cambrian Coast line...Besides the Pont Briwet works that stated Harlech will be the northern temporary terminus until some time in 2015, there has also been an agreed further cut-back point to Tywyn on this quiz, which was very recently used on a leg.

I am open to the views of any contestants with regard to this particular matter.

I am in concordance with the current rule changes, however may I just clarify between which exact stations does the first exemption apply to?

Burnley Manchester Road
Hebden Bridge

That is the route taken by the Northern Rail service from Blackpool North to York.

Based on the same reasoning as my adjudication disallowing Dovey Jn-Pwllheli, I think the following can be considered 'indefinately suspended':
Tywyn-Pwllheli
Blaenau Ffestiniog branch
Horsham-Dorking
Island Line

Island Line

That is an interesting one...Has the Island Line ever been used on this quiz, as ferry connections from the mainland would appear to be not allowed and the very short length of the Island Line would make that a very short leg indeed.
