I cannot see a service from Coseley to Sandwell & Dudley, so I can only assume that this is an invalid move and we're still at Coseley

Agreed. My Sandwell was an invalid post for two reasons, one of which was stupidity on my part and has now been struck through. From Coseley I shall move us on to

Wolverhampton

There are direct London Midland services from Coseley to Sandwell & Dudley. Can you check your records again.

National Rail Enquiries appears to show one at 0620 on Monday morning, for example.

There are no NON-STOP services between Coseley and Sandwell & Dudley according to Table 68, which, while wording it poorly, was what I was trying to say in my earlier post.

I'm not sure how the second Drumgelloch posting occurred.

I agree with that entirely. Also, the ATW website states that the Blaenau Ffestiniog branch is suspended until further notice.

ATW Have now put out the following:

No trains or buses are operating at present due to the dangerous tidal conditions causing flooding to both the railway and roads. From Saturday 04th January, trains will run between Machynlleth and Tywyn only (in both directions). Road transport will operate between Tywyn and Pwllheli in both directions. This line may be closed for several weeks due to the significant damage caused in several locations.
