I'm not fully up to speed with the latest rule revisions regarding timing of objections, however on the precedent of places like Bourne End being disallowed as a starting station due to a lack of through platforms, I feel this is an invalid starting station. Given it is a good couple of days since it was posted, I am however incline to think it should be allowed to pass seeing as there is no major impact on the running of the game.

Many services start at Hadfield, then next stop Glossop, then next stop Dinting. It is a most unusual triangular situation and one that has been causing much angst on postings on this website on the Tram-Train thread.

Quoting from the revised rules (which were amended by adtrainz very recently):

1. How to play

At the start of a game, the OP(at the very beginning or if necessary) or the player who previously ended a leg of the journey, will choose a starting station (unless the player has called an open floor, in which any player can choose a starting station) that adheres to the following criteria:

It is on NR rails (or Merseyrail)
It is not just a terminal station (There are two or more different stations that can be reached from it, on separate lines.)
It is not the same station as the one which ended the previous leg.

Which hopefully clarifies the use of such stations as Inverness, Lowestoft, Cooombe Junction Halt, Bourne End, etc. as valid starting points.

Thanks for the clarifications on the revised rules regarding starting stations, I am now satisfied that Glossop is valid.

I am aware of the oddities regarding services there, with trains running both ways round the triangle at Dinting. Useful for getting the track, although I shall need to do some research to see which, if either, station tick counts for the book from my visit a few years back.

Long wait

I've always scored this as long wait, though I think it is borderline between the two.
