Indeed,
Kirknewton-Carstairs is only valid on the 17:53 North Berwick-Glasgow Central and 23:09 Newcraighall-Motherwell.
Carstairs-Motherwell is only valid on the dated 21:45 SuO London Euston-Glasgow Central. It does not appear to be valid after this coming Sunday, as after then the only services doing this will be set down only at Carstairs, so I believe we are not allowed to use them.
