The 'crossing through' applies to all duplicate entries in my understanding, the part you quote I believe refers to the fact a penalty will not apply.

The start of the rule is shown below:

8. IN THE EVENT OF A WRONG ANSWER:

If a submission to the quiz is incorrect, but there have been no further posts, the author may edit their post, so long as the original is shown as crossed out. After striking through an incorrect entry, you must use reply rather than edit to post your new entry. This aims to prevent confusion to allow for smooth proceedings.

I'm sure Clagmonster will clarify rule 8 in due course.

It's that bit that confuses me. Reply instead of edit? So we just put the new station underneath without crossing out?

Simply put (hopefully): edit to cross through the duplicate station, save the edit, then use a new post to post a revised move, then wait until another move has been made. The original or revised move post should not be edited again.

I will enter into this debate as one who helped adtrainz design this quiz in the first place and as also being a competitor since the quiz inception and confirm that Buttsy has indeed made the true situation with the rules totally clear in this most unfortunate matter.

The rules are changed from time to time, in accordance with matters of resolution of particular queries raised, but adtrainz always makes a posting on the quiz to confirm what rules section has been updated.

New or newly-returned contestants are recommended to read the current rules in full.
