Well, given that I think nothing skips Donny or Wakey Westgate, I think I'll start the next leg at How Wood.

6.....End of the Line: When at the 3rd station from an end point, if the 2nd station is not posted within 3 hours, then 20 points are taken from the leg total. If no posts are received over 6 hours, another 20 points are taken from the leg total. This ruling will not apply in the time period of 0001 and 0900 inclusive.

Looking at that the above-stated extract from the rules, with regard to that last leg and its ultimate ending, I suppose that win was an example of a "Pyrrhic" victory.

It is not possible to have negative points, so if this occurs the value will default to zero.

I now see this extract from the rules, much further down the rules section and would suggest that attempts should be made to have this moved up to the rules section section 6.
