Hang on, what went through first, your edit of Gnolfe's post? You are correct there is no through service, I did not see what happened.

Paul, when you posted your edit, did you notice whether Dan's edit had already appeared?

Similarly, Dan, when you posted Wilnecote, did you notice whether Paul's edt had appeared when your post went up.

When I have seen both sides, I will attempt to adjudicate.

The rules state:
"If a submission to the quiz is incorrect, but there have been no further posts, the author may edit their post, so long as the original is shown as crossed out. "
If Paul edited first which I'm sure was his intention, then I believe him to have followed this rule to the letter.

In that case, the witnesses are both unsure and as far as I can make out, every effort has been made to follow the rules to the letter. Therefore, I don't think either party is wrong. To get the game going, I will toss a coin.
Heads: Wilnecote and hence to Willington.
Tails: Duddeston.
